OMRON SOFTWARE joins Open Handset Alliance

OMRON SOFTWARE announced today that we have joined the Open Handset Alliance. The Open Handset Alliance is a group of mobile and technology leaders and operators who are changing the mobile user experience and are shaping up the mobile communication society.

Japan is one of the leading mobile markets in the world, and as such, users in Japan experience the Internet primarily on their mobile devices rather than on desktop computers.

Our innovative language processing technologies have been contributing to the development of this mobile ecosystem in Japan. We believe that Android will enable many more users all over the world to receive the benefit of living in a connected society, so we have decided to support the Android platform and join this alliance. We hope that our contribution to this project will enrich communication among people all over the world.

OMRON SOFTWARE provides valuable technology through its activities and benefits users through its contributions to the smart phone market.
