About CMMI Level 3 Achievement
Application software development for the manufacturing
industry division is CMMI level 3 certified.
OMRON SOFTWARE conducted an appraisal based on CMMI(*1) for software development in the manufacturing industry and confirmed it had achieved level 3 on March 30, 2006 .
This appraisal was conducted by using CMMI for SE/SW V1.1 Stage Representation as a model based on SCAMPI(*2) Class A Version 1.1, and was supervised by an SEI(*3)-authorized Lead Appraiser.

- (*1) CMMI(Capability Maturity ModelR Integration)
- CMMI is an update of the Capability Maturity Model for software development. It was developed by SEI as an integrated model including both the hardware and service sectors.
- (*2) SCAMPI(The Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement)
- SCAMPI is an appraisal method developed by SEI. It clearly sets an appraisal process and rules. SCAMPI provides three types of appraisal methods, from Class A to Class C, depending on objectivity or range. Class A is the most objective appraisal and suitable for benchmarking performance against the model.
